Web-Based Applications

Top  Previous  Next

Web-Based applications can be accessed in two ways:

From your Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Netscape browser after you have signed-on using the VPN client.
From your Portal Page, by simply clicking on the bookmark.

If you signed-on using the VPN Client, you will not notice any changes to your desktop.

To access web-based applications which are located on your Corporate Network, use your favorite browser

MyInternetExplorer and MyFirefox

Simply enter the URL of the web application, and press Go !

If you signed-on using the WebTop Client, you will see an Intranet tile (see below) which shows the web applications which have been defined for your user account.

WebTopIntranet

Simply click on the link to access the web application. A sample is shown below:

WebTopBookmarks

Notes:

1) The term INTRANET is technically a misnomer. The bookmarks can be for both Intranet and Internet sites.

2) The compatibility with browsers is associated with the application be used, including considerations associated with the use of Active-X controls, Java and ASP.NET technologies. In short, if you can use the application from your desktop or laptop computer, you will be able to use it remotely via our VPN.
